June 2025 Menu

Someone recently asked how I decide what and when I switch the menu. I kind of jokingly said I decide based on my mood. But that’s not all of the story.

We are also swapping menu items based on seasonality of ingredients, of course when something goes out of season - like apples - we use less of them. When something comes into season - like capers or berries - we use more of them.

We are changing up the menu often, so you never get stuck with just 1 option. Sometimes that looks like different flavors of a pie or cake. Other times iit will be a completely new and unique creation.

Alright, with that being said, let’s talk about the June menu!

> Sandwiches will be making a comeback as Joshua rejoins the bakery in a small way.
Apple cashew sandwiches make a great summer sandwich. Lions mane salad will also be appearing.

>> Focaccias will continue on with sea salt and rosemary and garlic. The seasonal special varieties will include an Italian herb + parmesan, and roasted leek and pesto.

>> Seeds brown bread appeared recently. I love the brown bread and I love the seeded - so I made a small batch of brown seeded as a baguette for subscribers and loaves for the market. This will find it’s ways into the market line up this month too, along with plain, Italian herb, sesame, and brown.

>> Frosted things will be left off of the menu for a bit. Frosted cakes and cookie pies don’t do well in the warm summer months. Marshmallow topped things will be filling in - mallow cookie pies, mallow cupcakes, and maybe even just mallows. Plus some vegan mallows.

>> Plum cakes will be around for the plum season. So will stone fruit pies and crumbles.

>> We’ve had many requests for yeast free gluten-free breads. We’ll be adding an Irish soda bread style loaf to the mix — in half loaf sizes to start.

>> Brownies will turn to blondies this month. with caramel and berries. citrus curd, and maybe a mallow topped version.
